Amritsar: PM Narendra Modi will hold an election rally in Firozpur to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab and give several gifts to the state. These include the foundation stone of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, PGI Satellite Centre at Firozpur and two new medical colleges at Kapurthala-Hoshiarpur. However, the rally is feared to be disrupted due to protests by farmers' organisations. Rain has also started in Firozpur. Earlier, PM Modi reached the Hussainiwala border and paid homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.

Even after the government withdrew all the three agricultural laws, the anger of the farmers and the people of Punjab does not seem to be diminishing.
