New Delhi: PM Modi said on Saturday that due to all the steps taken by the government, including the lockdown, India is in a better position than many other countries in dealing with the coronavirus. PM Modi said that earlier this year some people predicted that the impact of the virus in India would be very serious. Due to the lockdown, India is better than many other countries with many government initiatives and people support. India's recovery rate is increasing.

PM Modi has further said that more than 8 crore families have smoke-free kitchens. More than 1.5 crore houses have been built to give shelter to the homeless. The world's largest healthcare plan in the country is Ayushman Bharat. PM Modi said this on Saturday in the inaugural address through video conferencing at the 90th birth anniversary of Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan. PM Modi said that it is with a sense of humility that Mar Thoma Church has worked to make a positive difference in the lives of our fellow countrymen. He has done this in areas such as healthcare and education.

PM Modi has said that the world is currently fighting a strong fight against the global epidemic coronavirus. The coronavirus is not just a physical disease that threatens people's lives. It also takes our attention to unhealthy lifestyles.
