New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Monday held a discussion with French President Emmanuel Macron over phone. During this time, PM Modi spoke of India's full support to France in the war against terrorism and extremism. According to the statement released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), during the conversation, Modi also expressed grief over the recent terrorist attack in France. PM Modi said that the Indo-French partnership is a force that is for the benefit of the entire world, including the Indo-Pacific.
PM Modi took to Twitter and wrote, 'I held talks with my friend Emanuel Macron on the opportunities and challenges related to the situation that arose after covid-19. India stands with him in France's war against terrorism and extremism. The PMO said that during the discussions, Modi and Macron also discussed other bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as the two leaders improving the availability and accessibility of the Corona vaccine, cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, maritime security, defense Also talked about cooperation, digital economy and cyber security.
The statement issued by the PMO said that the two leaders expressed satisfaction at the strength of the strategic partnership between India and France in recent years. Along with this, they have agreed to continue working together.
