PM Modi congratulates Nepal PM Deuba, says both countries will work step by step

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to nepal's new PM-turned-Sher Bahadur Deuba over phone and stressed that the two leaders will work together to enhance cooperation on issues including the global epidemic the corona virus war. In a tweet, PM Modi said, "PM Sher Bahadur spoke to Deuba over phone and congratulated him and wished him all the best. We will work together to further cooperation between India and Nepal on various issues, including the war against the Corona virus.''

Nepal's newly appointed PM Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he is keen to work closely with India's PM Modi to strengthen relations between the two neighbouring countries and enhance people-to-people contacts. PM Modi had congratulated Deuba on Sunday night for securing a vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha House of Parliament of Nepal.  Modi tweeted, "Congratulations to PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and best wishes for a successful tenure. I'm looking forward to working with them.''

Deuba thanked PM Modi for the congratulatory message and expressed his desire to work closely with the two neighbouring countries to strengthen bilateral ties. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thank you very much for sending a congratulatory message,' he tweeted late on Sunday night.
