New Delhi: Yoga world origin came from a Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which means to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite. International yoga day is a day of celebration which is celebrated on 21st June every year, this day was started several years ago.

Yoga keeps physical and mental health fit and also provides a man to live more. Tirumalai Krishnamacharya is known as the father of modern yoga, he was an Indian yoga teacher, educated and knowledgeable.  He was a scholar and ayurvedic healer.

Yoga has been an effective way to improve your physical and mental health. 21st June is selected for yoga as this day is the longest day every year in the northern hemisphere, and also adds meaning and respect to many countries.

 International yoga day was started from 2015, suggested by PM Narendra Modi. He addressed About yoga day on 27 September 2014 in a general assembly.

Prime minister of India Narendra Modi on 21st June 2023 will speak about yoga in New York and aware the world. The goal of celebrating international yoga day is to spread awareness among the people living on earth and everyone should do yoga to not take stress and anxiety and be physically and mentally fit.
