New Delhi: PM Modi will hold a meeting with Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of seven states and union territories, including Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday i.e. Wednesday to review the current situation of coronavirus epidemic in these states. 63 percent of Corona's active cases are in these seven states. According to an official statement, the CM and Health Ministers of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh as well as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Punjab will also participate in this meeting.

65.5 percent of the total confirmed cases of corona and 77 percent of total deaths in the country have also been reported from these states and union territories. The statement said that in Punjab and Delhi, along with other five states, the number of total cases has increased very fast recently. The number of dead in Maharashtra, Punjab and Delhi has also increased greatly. The death rate in these states is more than two percent, which is a high average of the death rate.

Punjab and Uttar Pradesh as well as their infection confirmation rates are higher than the national average of 8.52 percent. The statement said that the central government, together with the effective cooperation and close coordination of the states and union territories, is leading the war against the Corona epidemic. The central government is continuously helping to increase their healthcare and medical infrastructure.
