The Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat state today visited the Somnath temple where he offered his prayers. Along with him Keshubhai Patel​ and Amit Shah were also present. He also paid his tribute to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is the seventh visit of PM Modi in Gujarat.

Prime Minister Modi is also a trustee of a temple and her he offered a special puja. After becoming the Prime Minister in May 2014 it is the first visit of PM Modi to the temple.

Today on the International Women’s Day, he will address around thousand of women sarpanches that are spread across the country.

Yesterday, he laid the foundation stone of Bharuch Bus port. He is on a two-day visit to Gujarat state.
