On this occasion, PM Modi also wrote a blog post dedicated to his mother. After Saturday's visit, PM Modi left for Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar where he spent the night. He will attend programmes in Kutch and Gandhinagar on Sunday.

The Prime Minister on Saturday launched the 'Atal Bridge' for pedestrians and cyclists during the Khadi Utsav programme in Ahmedabad. He later shared a few pictures on social media. PM Modi said "Gandhinagar and Gujarat have given a lot of love to Atal Ji. In 1996, Atal Ji won the Lok Sabha elections from Gandhinagar with record votes. This bridge is an emotional tribute to him from the people here.''
