New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the people of the state on the occasion of Durga Puja starting in West Bengal today. This address of PM Modi is being done through videoconferencing. During this, PM Modi said that my brothers and sisters of West Bengal today have such power of devotion, it seems that I am not in Delhi but today I am present among you all in Bengal.

PM Modi said that when faith is perfect, blessings of Goddess Durga is there, then the whole country becomes Bengalous beyond the place and situation. He said that 'Durga Puja' is also a festival of unity and wholeness of India. Durga Puja of Bengal gives this newness of India a new glow, gives new colours. It is the influence of the awakened consciousness of Bengal, the spirituality of Bengal, the historicity of Bengal. '

He said that great personalities from the land of Bengal have served Goddess Bharti as and when required, from weapons and scriptures, sacrifice and penance. I salute Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Aurobindo, Baba Loknath, Sri Sri Thakur Sukh Chandra, Maa Anandamayi, who put the soil of Bengal over their foreheads.
