New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday wished for the speedy recovery of former Prime Minster Manmohan Singh who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for evaluation of fever last night.

Sharing conern over twitter post, PM Modi wroe: "I pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr Manmohan Singh Ji," .

 

Manmohan Singh, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Wednesday, is under the observation of doctors. Singh had complained of weakness and is stable and under the observation of doctors, hospital sources said.Earlier in the day, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya visited the hospital to meet him.

AIIMS officials confirmed that the former PM's condition is stable. "Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi for evaluation of fever; his condition is stable," said AIIMS officials. Soon after news of Dr Singh's hospitalisation came, political leaders cutting across party lines took to Twitter to wish him a quick recovery.
