New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has extended the birthday wishes to the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and Smriti Irani, the Minister of Textiles. PM Modi tweeted that he wrote, 'Congratulations to Smriti Irani on her birthday. She is continuously working to advance women empowerment and change the important textile sector. Wish him a long and healthy life.

After being congratulated by PM Modi on his birthday, Smriti Iran thanked him. Smriti Irani tweeted that, 'Thank you sir for your good wishes and leadership.' Let us tell you that Smriti Irani, born on 23 March 1976 in Delhi, is currently holding the charge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Amethi Lok Sabha seat and Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Textiles.

Before entering politics, Smriti Irani earned a lot of name on TV. She played the role of Tulsi in the famous serial Ke Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Even today Smriti Irani is remembered for her character. The show, made under the banner of Ekta Kapoor, ran for 8 years. Smriti Irani is serving the public through development in politics after winning the hearts of people with her acting.
