NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 50th Anniversary of the Agradoot group of newspapers on Wednesday via video conferencing. 

As stated by Prime Minister's Office (PMO),  Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief patron of the Agradoot Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee, would also be present at the celebration.

Agradoot was started as an Assamese bi-weekly, it was established by  Kanak Sen Deka, a senior Assamese journalist. Daily newspaper Dainik Agradoot was founded in 1995, and since then, it has grown to be a trusted and influential voice for Assam. It is simultaneously published in Guwahati, Jorhat, and Tezpur.
