If you are a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), then this is important news for you. Before March 31, you get this necessary work done, otherwise you may have to face trouble in doing the transaction. But from April 1, the bank is going to see some such changes that will prevent the old IFSC and IFC functioning. Instructions for change have been issued to the bank by 31 March. That is, this code is not going to work at all from 31 March 2021 onwards. If you want to transfer money, for that you will have to get a new code from the bank. Failure to do so, the customer cannot transact money from online mode from April 1. It has also been said that the bank has given on its Twitter account.

Know what is the reason? According to the reports, two government banks - Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI) have been merged in PNB. The merger has been held at PNB since 1 April 2020. Their customers have now joined PNB. After this merger, it has become the second largest public sector bank. After this, customers of these banks have now been told to take a new checkbook and IFSC and MICR code. It is also being said that after the merger in PNB, all the branches of United Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce are now functioning as branches of PNB. The bank now employs over 11,000 branches and over 13,000 ATMs.

The bank has said that the customers of both banks who joined PNB after the merger, will now have to get a new checkbook and a new IFSC code.
