Poco has officially announced the launch of its mid-range Poco X7 series in India on January 9. Continuing its strategy of delivering powerful yet affordable devices, the company is expected to price both models in the lineup under ₹30,000, aiming to compete in the performance-centric smartphone market.

Poco X7 Pro: Advanced Features for Power Users

The Poco X7 Pro is expected to feature a stunning 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. With peak brightness reaching up to 3200 nits, users can enjoy excellent outdoor visibility. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, ensuring durability.

Under the hood, the X7 Pro is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, built on a 4nm process for enhanced efficiency and performance. The device is paired with the Mali G720 MC6 GPU, promising seamless performance for gaming and graphic-heavy tasks. Storage options are expected to include 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, coupled with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the Poco X7 Pro is rumored to sport a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). An 8MP ultra-wide lens will complement the main shooter. For selfies and video calls, the device might include a 20MP front-facing camera.

Powering the phone is a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. Additionally, the Poco X7 Pro is expected to run on Xiaomi's latest HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Poco X7: A Balanced Performer

The Poco X7 is expected to sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display, comparable to the Pro version, and will include Corning Gorilla Victus 2 for enhanced durability. The device is expected to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, a proven performer in the mid-range segment.

The camera system mirrors the X7 Pro with a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and an additional 2MP macro lens for close-up shots. The front camera is likely to include a 20MP sensor, ensuring high-quality selfies.

The X7 will house a slightly smaller 5,110mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging. It is also expected to run on HyperOS 2.0, delivering a smooth and user-friendly experience.

Competitive Pricing and Tough Competition

With its competitive pricing, robust specifications, and cutting-edge features, the Poco X7 series is poised to challenge other performance-focused smartphones in its segment. Consumers can look forward to these exciting releases in just a few days.
