Lucknow: Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been accused of stealing poetry. In fact, Congress UP in-charge Priyanka Gandhi, who is preparing for next year's proposed assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, reached Chitrakoot on Wednesday (November 17, 2021). She first performed Jal Abhishek at Matsyagajendranath temple and then interacted with women from the stage built in the water stream of Mandakini.

Addressing the 'Ladki Hoon-Lad Sakti Hoon' dialogue programme at Ramghat in Chitrakoot, she urged women to come forward in the struggle to get UP out of their plight. She read a poem and said, ''Bahut Hua Intezaar Ab, Suno Draupadi Sastra Utha Lo Ab Govind Na Aayenge''. How long will you expect from the other people? Priyanka said that women should fight their own battle. She said that women will have to fight for themselves to change their position and the Congress party is with them at every step. She requested the women to blindly vote for women in the next election. Now the poet Pushyamitra Upadhyaya, who composed the poem, has objected to it and reprimanded Priyanka Vadra.

Pushyamitra tweeted, "Priyanka Gandhiji, I wrote this poem for the women of the country and not for your poor politics. I neither support your ideology nor allow you to make political use of my literary property. What will the country expect from those who steal poetry''? He also shared a cutting of news about the poem in another tweet.
