Shocking news has come to the fore about Krishan Pereira, a well-known Bollywood actress who has worked in movies like Sadak 2, Batla House, and Thinkistan. Krishan was taken into custody in the UAE for possession of drugs. She is lodged in Sharjah Central Jail. Her family says that the actress has been framed on the pretext of an international web series.

Implied in the name of a web series: The actress's brother, Kevin Pereira, has said that their mother received a message from someone named Ravi. He has invited Krishan to meet her in connection with an international web series. Krishan and Ravi met on March 25, 2023, at the Hotel Grand Hyatt (Santa Cruz East). In the meeting, she was asked to reach Dubai on April 1, 2023, for work, but then he was booked for Sharjah instead of Dubai. She was scheduled to return on April 3.

Did not talk to the family after reaching Sharjah: According to the family, before the flight to Sharjah, the man named Ravi met Krishan again and handed over a trophy to him. He claimed that this trophy must have been given for the audition. Krishan took the trophy with him. On reaching Sharjah, Krishan noticed that all her and Ravi's chats had disappeared through the disappearing messages feature. Then she learned from the hotel that there was no booking in her name. She felt that she was being framed. She immediately talked to the police after taking advice from the family, and during this time her phone got switched off due to battery drain. The family has not been able to contact her since then.

Help was sought from the Ministry of External Affairs. Following this, the CGI (Consulate General of India) informed the family that he had been taken into custody for possession of drugs and lodged in Sharjah Central Jail. Kevin has said that the Mumbai Police is not investigating the matter properly. The family is taking the services of a private lawyer in Dubai and has also sought assistance from the Ministry of External Affairs.
