Kanpur: After the riots in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh last week, the areas around the new road have been converted into a cantonment today. In such a situation, a day before Friday's Friday prayers, police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in the new road and surrounding areas. This is so that no incident of any kind can happen. Now Kanpur Police has also implemented Section 144 in the area. This is so that people cannot gather in one place. Kanpur Police Commissioner held a meeting with the religious leaders on Thursday evening and appealed to maintain peace in the city.

On the other hand, regarding the Kanpur Violence, the police said that 57 accused have been arrested so far and another accused has been arrested on Thursday itself. Let us also tell all of you that in view of the Friday prayers, all the top officers including the police commissioner on Thursday late evening marched the route from Nai Road, Yatimkhana, Bekganj, Dada Mian to Chamanganj. Here the police said that in the last 24 hours, the police have arrested one more accused and now the number of people arrested has reached 57.

The violence broke out just after the Nai Sadak Friday prayers last week and today again 17 Company PACs and 700 policemen have been deployed in the entire area in view of the Friday prayers. Following the orders of the district administration, Para Military Force and Women's Wing are also patrolling the area and apart from this, the duty of Civil Defense and 29 Static Magistrates has been imposed at night. With this, the police said that a team of more than 100 people is keeping an eye on social media day and night, so that the atmosphere of the city is not spoiled by any kind of provocative post.
