Raigarh: There is a huge craze among fans over the recently released Pushpa film, with the Dongripali police succeeding in recovering illegal ganja being smuggled from Odisha. Police have seized 50 kg of ganja kept in the pickup by making a secret chamber. Its price is said to be around Rs 5 lakh. The culprit belongs to Satna, Madhya Pradesh, along with a minor.

The same Dongripali police were checking the vehicle to stop smuggling of illegal ganja from Odisha. Just then the pickup from there was stopped. Police got suspicious when they questioned Jitendra Singh, a resident of Satna district in MP, when the vehicle was stopped without a number plate. On strict interrogation, the criminal admitted to smuggling ganja and said that he was taking ganja from Sonepur (Odisha) to Satna in MP. There was also a minor with the criminal Jitendra Singh.

In Raigarh, continuous action is being taken against illegal liquor, satta, gambling and ganja in the district for the past few months. A large quantity of illicit liquor, ganja and use vehicles have also been recovered from the culprit. Even after this, the smuggling of illegal ganja is continuously taking place in the district. Ganja smugglers are adopting new methods for smuggling.
