Dumka: Police of Mufassil police station raided and seized 25 bags of banned cough syrup from a house in Harakundi area of ​​Dumka block area. Along with cough syrup, the police have also recovered a box filled with many medicines. This action was taken by Mufassil police station in-charge and police force under the leadership of SDPO Noor Mustafa. The house owner Rajesh Rai has been arrested in this case.

The same banned cough syrup and medicines have been recovered and kept in Mufassil police station. Till late in the evening, the cough syrup vial and medicine box were not counted and neither was the FIR registered. The value of the seized cough syrup is estimated to be around Rs 3 lakh. The SDPO said that the drug inspector would be called. It will be known only after the arrival of the Drug Inspector that how much is the seized banned cough syrup and medicines.

It is said that information about illegally keeping cough syrup in the house of a person named Rajesh Rai of Harakundi locality was being received for a long time. On the basis of the secret Tahrir, the police raided and four types of cough syrups and medicines were seized in huge quantity. Many boxes of syrup in the seized cough syrup have expired. According to the police, the seized banned cough syrup belongs to a different company, which is used as an intoxicant. In addition to cough syrup, Alprazolam tablet, Ascof syrup, Honrex and Codetex cough syrup are included in large quantities.
