On charges of illegal livestock transportation, Nagaon Police in central Assam detained six people, including a constable.
Nagaon Police carried out the operation on Sunday. The cattle-laden trucks and the vehicle, according to accounts, were captured by police in the region of Boghat. A constable who was involved in aiding the transit has been arrested, according to Nagaon Police.
A Home Guard who was also involved in the incident but is presently on the run will be caught shortly, according to Nagaon Police. "6 Arrested for illegal Cattle Transportation, seized 2 Trucks, 1 car, 42 Cattle," Nagaon Police tweeted, reporting the seizure and arrest of those engaged in the illegal transportation. Following up, one constable and one member of the Home Guard found assisting such deliveries. HG has escaped justice but will be apprehended shortly."
Nagaon Police, led by Superintendent of Police Anand Mishra, continues to conduct operations in the district against livestock syndicates and smuggling. Jan Bora, Mustafa Ahmed, Rutam Ali, Bhrigu Bailung, and Ajibur Rahman are the people that were detained.
AS-01-NC-1843, AS-01-LC-5157, and AS-02-Z-6111 are the registration numbers of the trucks and car seized by the police. According to reports, the cow heads were transported in two trucks from Rajmai market in Sivasagar district.
