As part of this, L Ramana of the Padmashali community and Pedireddy of the Reddy community, Kaushik Reddy, a former minister, were inducted into the TRS. Kuashik Reddy was nominated for the MLC post and local TRS leader Banda Srinivas, a Dalit, was made the chairman of the SC corporation, while Vakulabaranam Krishna Mohan, a BC leader, was made the chairman of the BC commission.

TRS announced Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad as a pilot project and allocated Rs 2,000 crore under this scheme to gain Dalit votes. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced student activist Gelu Srinivas Yadav as the TRS candidate. Meanwhile, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who took out Praja Sangram Yatra, has planned to organize a huge public meeting in October at Hussainabad near Huzurabad in view of the model code of conduct. However, the Congress party is yet to announce its candidate for the by-election. Since this is the party's first election under the leadership of TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy, all eyes are now on the Congress.
