New Delhi: Diwali was celebrated with great pomp all over India, but on this Diwali, pollution levels increased in many regions of the country. Seeing the rising pollution, the Supreme Court and the NGT had prohibited the burning of firecrackers in the entire country and said in its decrees that green firecrackers can be burnt for only 2 hours in the state where the air quality is good. Disregarding all these instructions on Diwali, firecrackers were fired in the states of Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and North India including Delhi-NCR. After that, people started having trouble breathing again and the complaints of headaches increased.

The entire night of Diwali was wrapped in a sheet of Delhi pollution.
