Vatican City: Pope Francis recites the Angelus to end Mass on the Holiness of Christ the King in the Italian city of Asti, expressing his gratitude for the community's gracious welcome.
Later, Pope Francis continued by calling the current period a "famine of peace". He urged everyone in attendance to consider the different regions of the world that have been stricken by war, paying particular attention to Ukraine.

They also reflected on the tragic fire two days ago at a refugee camp in Gaza, Palestine, that killed at least 21 people. We pray for the 10 children who were involved in the families of the victims.
“Let us give ourselves something to do and continue to pray for peace,” the Pope insisted. May the Lord receive in heaven those who lost their lives and comfort the population who suffered through years of struggle. Was suffering from!"
The Pope continued to address the youth and express his love for them, reminding that the local Church celebrates this holy day as World Youth Day.
The Pope said this year's theme, "Mary arose and hastily departed," is similar to the coming World Youth Day in Lisbon.

“Our mother did this when she was young,” said the Pope, “and she tells us that the secret of staying young is found in those two actions, getting up and going.”
The Pope stressed the need to rise and move forward, “Aim for heights, move forward, leave behind your fears and hold the hand of someone in need, instead of thinking about yourself, wasting your life and looking for comfort or the latest Chasing fads."

Pope Francis concluded by saying that we need young people today who can "make dreams of peace come true" and change the world.
