New Delhi: Later this year, German automaker Porsche will launch the 2024 Cayenne in the international market. Highlights include a revised exterior, an improved suspension system and a revised interior with a ton of tech-based equipment. It will be available with a choice of plug-in hybrid, V6 gasoline and V8 gasoline engines under the hood.

Rather than just giving the Cayenne a facelift, Porsche will be giving the Cayenne some useful upgrades for 2024. It should attract a lot of buyers in the international markets and may even travel to India as a fully assembled unit. It is certain that four wheelers will be costlier and the competition in the market for luxury vehicles will increase.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne will feature an eye-shaped grille, wider air dam and a sculpted bonnet. It will get flared wheel arches, black pillars, ORVMs and fashionable wheels with 31-inch tires on each side. The rear will feature a full-width LED light bar, a raked windscreen, a roof-mounted antenna, and dual exhaust tips.

The interior of the new Porsche Cayenne will be lavish and will include a toggle-style gear selector, a cool wireless smartphone charging pad and a contoured steering wheel.

It will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.7-inch curved instrument cluster. There will also be a 10.9-inch polarized display for the front passenger. Passengers' safety is guaranteed by multiple airbags and 360-degree view cameras.

The new Cayenne will be powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine (469 horsepower/600.6 Nm) and a 3.0-litre, V6 turbo-petrol engine (349 horsepower/500.2 Nm).

There will also be a 3.0-liter V6 to produce 464 horsepower, along with a 174-horsepower electric motor and a 25.9-kWh battery. Performance will be improved by PASM adaptive dampers, a revised rear-axle steering system and an improved rear torque-vectoring system.

Availability and cost information for the 2024 Cayenne will be released by Porsche at the time of its launch. But in the US, it should cost a lot more than the starting price of the current model, which is $73,650. (around Rs 60.2 lakh).
