Joy's MIHOS e-bike was released in India for Rs. 1.49 lakh.

New Delhi: Joy E-Bike, an Indian EV manufacturer, has introduced its latest electric scooter MIHOS at a starting price of Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The public display of the e-scooter is currently happening at the Auto Expo 2023. The Poly Dicyclopentadiene (PDCPD) material used in the EV's body panels provides added durability and flexibility while absorbing the greatest amount of impact force.

In 2020, Joy E-Bike, which is based in Vadodara, debuted in the Indian two-wheeler market. Since then, the brand has expanded, and now has over 700 dealerships on American soil.

The company introduced the MIHOS with neo-retro styling and a powerful 1.5kW electric motor to cash in on the demand for an efficient electric scooter. The automaker has also showcased the Rockefeller e-bike along with the e-scooter.

Apron-mounted indicators, a large round front fender, a circular LED headlamp unit, round chromed mirrors, a wide handlebar, a flat footboard and a single-piece seat all feature on the Joy e-bike MIHOS.

It also gets a sleek LED taillamp, a circular unibody panel and a tubular grab rail. The scooter gets 12-inch alloy wheels and a digital instrument cluster.

A hub-mounted 1.5kW BLDC electric motor and 2.96kWh battery pack power the Joy e-bike MIHOS. On a single charge, the EV claims a range of up to 100 kms.

The MIHOS features disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with a combined braking system (CBS) and regenerative braking for improved braking performance for the safety of the rider. The rear shock absorber and telescopic forks up front handle suspension duties respectively on the retro-inspired e-dual scooter.
