Lucknow: The Yogi Government is tightening the screws on former Uttar Pradesh minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) veteran Haji Yaqub Qureshi. Now the UP Police, declaring Haji Yakub and his sons as absconders, is preparing to paste their posters at various places in Meerut. With this, the gangster's file has been prepared against 7 people including Haji Yakub and his two sons. This file has been sent to the SSP, the action will be completed soon.

Haji Yaqub Qureshi's son Imran owns a meat factory in Alipur, Kharkhoda. The police team raided this meat factory on the night of March 31 and illegal meat packing was caught from here. A case was registered against 17 accused, including Haji Yakub and two sons, and his wife. 10 people were arrested on the spot. Haji Yakub and Firoz, Imran are still absconding.

The police have filed a chargesheet against all the accused. Kharkhoda police have prepared a file of gangsters against 7 accused including Haji Yakub, Firoz, Imran, and manager Mohit Tyagi and sent it to SSP. According to police officials, the file has been delivered to the district magistrate's office. The Gangster Act will be invoked after the DM's permission.
