New Delhi: The Supreme Court has recently given a verdict regarding the poster outside the house of Covid-19 patients. The Supreme Court has said in its order today that no state should put a poster outside the house of Covid-19 patients. The Supreme Court said today, 'There is no need to paste posters on behalf of the state and divide the identity of the patient'.

The court also states, 'COVID19 patients are not required to stick posters outside the homes of the state government officials, given their identity, unless there is a directive from a competent officer'. The Supreme Court also said, 'Doing so is discriminating against patients'. In the earlier hearing, the court had made a strong comment, 'By putting posters like this, patients are considered untouchables. Such patients are being treated like untouchables.'

During the first hearing, the Supreme Court while looking at the petition said, 'There is a violation of the privacy of the people where the posters have been placed. Due to the posting of the poster, the patients and their families are facing problems with the neighbours. Solicitor general Tushar Mehta, while appearing for the government, made it clear that the Central Government has not given any such instructions. It is the decision of the state governments to put up the posters and their motive is that the patient's neighbours or someone else should avoid going in or around that house. In this way, the corona can be avoided. The Supreme Court said, 'The ground reality is something else, people have started considering the patients untouchable by putting up posters'.
