The first session of the seventh assembly is scheduled to begin from February 24. This session of the newly formed Seventh Assembly is going to be very special. This session will last for 3 days. During the session, newly-elected MLAs will be administered the oath of office and secrecy. On the first day of this session which runs till 26 February, the most senior and experienced MLA will be made the Protem Speaker who will administer the oath to all the MLAs. If sources are to be believed, Prahlada Singh Sahni can be made a Protem Speaker.

CM Arvind Kejriwal told during the press conference held at the Delhi Secretariat that his cabinet had its first meeting on Wednesday. The cabinet has approved the three-day session of the assembly. On the first day of the session, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal will administer the oath to the Protem Speaker and then the Protem Speaker will administer the oath to all the MLAs. There will be a speech of the Lieutenant Governor on 25 February and a vote of thanks will come on this speech on 26th. In his speech, the Lt. Governor will give his views about the development of Delhi and the plans of the government. There will be a blueprint of the government's plans for the next five years.

In the vote of thanks, the MLA will express his views. During this time, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected by mutual agreement. There are 62 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and 8 MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), this time in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, the Congress account has not been opened. He has worked on many big schemes in the Vidhan Sabha. These include plans to make the assembly paperless, on which work is being done.
