New Delhi: Pranab Mukherjee, the former President of the country and honoured with Bharat Ratna, has been cremated. Pranab da was given a final farewell at the Lodhi crematorium with full state honours. Earlier, his body was brought from Army Hospital (R&R) to his official residence at 10, Rajaji Marg.

President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to former President of the country Pranab Mukherjee at his residence. The body of the 13th President of the country was brought from the Army's R&R Hospital at 9.30 am and he was cremated at 2 pm at the Lodhi crematorium. Pranab Mukherjee was corona infected, due to which very few people came to attend his funeral. Everyone was seen wearing PPE kit. Son Abhijeet Mukherjee offered prayers to father Pranab Mukherjee.

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, CDS Bipin Rawat, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, former PM Manmohan Singh, Union Minister Harshvardhan, BJP supremo JP Nadda, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, CPI General Secretary D. Raja, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and many other leaders also paid tribute to the late former President.
