Kolkata: Abhijit Mukherjee, son of former President Pranab Mukherjee, is soon to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC) today. Abhijit Mukherjee, son of late former President Pranab Mukherjee, was earlier an MP from Bengal on a Congress party ticket. He will now join to TMC.

According to information received, Abhijit Mukherjee, a former Congress MP from Jangipur, had been in touch with Trinamool leaders for the past few weeks. Abhijeet also met Abhishek Banerjee in Kolkata last month. Abhishek is the nephew of Bengal CM and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee. Abhijeet has finally decided to join the TMC after the meetings. Just recently, when the fake vaccination case came to light in Kolkata, Abhijeet was seen supporting Mamata Banerjee on social media.

He wrote, "PM Narendra Modi is responsible for the scams dome by Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi and if Didi is being directly blamed for the case of the person who ran the corona vaccination camp by becoming a fake IAS. That is why I say that it is not right to target the Bengal government for every incident".
