Ahmedabad: US President Donald Trump has reached Ahmedabad International Airport in Gujarat with his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner. PM Modi broke the protocol and welcomed Trump and his family. Trump and Modi will conduct a 22-km-long roadshow from Ahmedabad Airport to Motera Stadium. During this time both the top leaders will also visit the Sabarmati Ashram.

PM Modi and Trump will also address the 'Namaste Trump' program at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. In view of Donald Trump's visit, various commercials have been put up in Ahmedabad, which depicts the relationship between India and America, democracy etc. One poster reads that 'the world's oldest democracy will meet the world's largest democracy'. At the same time, there is no photo of Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani on any poster related to 'Namaste Trump' program.

Before reaching Ahmedabad, President Donald Trump tweeted in Hindi that he said, "We look forward to coming to India." We are on the way, we will meet everyone in a few hours! ' In response to this, PM Modi also wrote 'Atithi Devo Bhavah' on his official Twitter handle. Let us tell you that Trump has come to India on a two-day tour.
