Bangalore-Karnataka: Beginning Monday, September 26, India’s President Droupadi Murmu will be in Karnataka for two days to take part in a number of programmes. This will be her first trip as President of India to any state.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement that the President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Mysuru Dasara Festival on Monday, September 26 at the Chamundi Hills in Mysuru.
Mysuru Dasara Festival: Mysore Dasara is the Nadahabba of the state of Karnataka in India. It is a 10-day festival, starting with nine nights called Navaratri and the last day being Vijayadashami.
She will reach to Hubali for the "Poura Sanmana" event, which is put on by the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation. She will also open the Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad's new campus in Dharwad.
On Tuesday, the president will open a facility for making cryogenic engines at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Bangalore. During her trip to the state, President Murmu will also virtually lay the foundation stone for the South Zone Zonal Institute of Virology.
On the same day, she will also attend the opening of St. Joseph's University and a civic reception in Bangalore held in her honour by the Government of Karnataka.
The next day, September 28, President Murmu will return to the capital city.
