In 2014, Telangana was created by separating Andhra Pradesh. Beginning in 1952, the arduous process of creating a distinct State finally came to an end on June 2, 2014, when K. Chandrasekhar Rao took the oath to become the first Chief Minister of the new State.

Telangana, the youngest state in India, was formed on June 2, 2014, through the division of the larger state of Andhra Pradesh. Located in the southern part of the country, Telangana is known for its rich history, culture, and significant contributions to various sectors.

The formation of Telangana was the result of a long-standing demand by the people of the region, who believed that they were being neglected in terms of development and representation. After years of political activism and agitation, the state was finally granted separate statehood, making it the 29th state of India.

Telangana is renowned for its capital city, Hyderabad, which is a major center for technology, finance, and industry. Hyderabad, often referred to as Cyberabad, houses numerous multinational companies, IT parks, and research institutions, making it one of the leading hubs for information technology in India. The city also boasts a rich cultural heritage, with iconic landmarks such as the Charminar and the Golconda Fort.

The state of Telangana is blessed with diverse geographical features, ranging from fertile plains to hilly terrains and forests. The Godavari and Krishna rivers flow through the region, providing water for irrigation and supporting agriculture. Telangana's economy is predominantly agrarian, with agriculture being the primary occupation of the majority of its population. The state is known for its production of paddy, cotton, mangoes, and various other crops.
