Lucknow: Republican Party of India chief and Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale recently said in a statement, "The Central Government is soon going to bring an amendment bill to empower states to provide OBC reservation.'' In fact, he visited Lucknow last Saturday. Talking to reporters, he said, "The Central Government is bringing an amendment bill, after which the states will get the right to provide OBC reservation.''

On the right to provide reservation to the same States, he said, "It is just as the Central Government has provided 10 percent reservation to the economically weaker sections. This reservation is for all, caste or religion has nothing to do with it. Whoever is economically weak will benefit from it.'' At the same time, he has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded a 10 percent reservation for Kshatriyas.'' He further said, "His party, the Republican Party of India, will start the Bahujan Kalyan Yatra from Ghaziabad on September 26. The yatra will end in Lucknow on December 18 through various districts of the state. In Lucknow, the Bahujan Kalyan Maharally will be held on the concluding day, which will be attended by BJP National President JP Nadda Chief Minister Yogi.''

At the same time, regarding the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, he said, 'RPI will become an alternative to BSP. Said that his party wants to contest elections on Dalit Muslim majority seats. This will harm both BSP and SP. Anyway, it is not possible for both parties to win the assembly elections.' Apart from this, he also said, 'He is an ally of NDA at the Centre. Now she wants ten seats in Uttar Pradesh, from where her candidates will contest. The Dalit vote of BSP now belongs to RPI. Brahmin is with BJP. Only RPI will get Brahmin Dalits to BJP in Uttar Pradesh.'
