President approves Harsimrat Kaur's resignation, Narendra Tomar gets additional charge

New Delhi: The resignation of Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has been accepted by The Resa May Ram Nath Kovind. Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the Modi government yesterday. Harsimrat Kaur had taken these steps opposing the agriculture bill. Harsimrat Kaur's department has been entrusted to Narendra Singh Tomar.

It is reported that the three agricultural bills were passed in the Lok Sabha and the Akkali party was angered and under the same outrage Harsimrat Kaur resigned from the Modi government on Thursday. On PM Modi's recommendation, the president immediately accepted Harsimrat's resignation. The president has entrusted Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar with the additional charge of the Ministry of Food Processing. Let us tell you that the discontent among the farmers of Punjab is deepening over the three bills relating to farmers.

The Centre's NDA government aide Shiromani Akali Dal issued a whip to its MPs in the case and asked them to vote against these bills in the monsoon session of Parliament. Expressing objection to the agricultural bills tabled in Parliament on behalf of the central government, Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, in the Modi government on behalf of the Akali Dal, submitted her resignation to the president on Thursday. Which has been accepted by the President's office.
