New Delhi:  Droupadi Murmu, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA's presidential nominee, is due to submit her nomination on Friday.

As per reports, PM Modi Modi will be proposing Murmu's name for the nomination on June 24, which will be seconded by the party's national president J.P Nadda.

The BJP has invited all of its allies, including the chief ministers of the states that the NDA controls, to participate in the nomination ceremony, according to the sources.

Conrad Sangma, the leader of the National People's Party (NPP), the chief minister of Meghalaya, and Nephiu Rio, the chief minister of Nagaland, have already declared their participation in Friday's nomination process for the presidency. Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, will also be present during the nomination.

Meanwhile, Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, appealed to all of the state's MLAs on Wednesday night to back Murmu's candidacy.

JP Nadda named Droupadi Murmu as the NDA candidate for the upcoming presidential election during a press conference he gave on Monday at the party's headquarters. Nadda added that before selecting Murmu as the BJP Parliamentary board's presidential candidate, all of the NDA's allies had discussed more than 20 options.
