Jaipur: The opposition's joint presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha, who is campaigning for his campaign, continues to attack the central government. Yashwant Sinha, who arrived in Rajasthan on Monday, said there was communal tension in the country and efforts were being made to topple elected governments in the states. At the same time, he has also raised questions about the role of central agencies. Sinha, who is in the fray from the opposition, is pitted against NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu.

He said that if he becomes president, the wrong use of central agencies will stop the very next day after taking the oath. In Jaipur, Yashwant Sinha said that the Presidential election scheduled to be held on July 18 is against the central agencies, which are being used by the central government. He further said "I want to ask the elected representatives of the other side to consider the situation and do what is appropriate. Given the situation the countries are facing, the presidential elections are taking place in an unusual situation. There is communal tension and efforts are being made to remove elected governments in many states. This has been seen in Maharashtra and Goa recently.''

He alleged that the BJP and its government at the Centre are deliberately creating an atmosphere of hatred in the country. At the same time, he attacked the government over economic policies and the fall in the rupee. On the current president, he said, "If we talk about the last five years, it was a period of peace in Rashtrapati Bhavan. We have seen a silent president.''
