New Delhi [India] Jan 9 (NT):  On the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed at first Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Parliamentary Conference in the Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra on Tuesday here.

With the inaugural speech Sushma Swaraj at PIO Parliamentary Conference says that If India is leading the world today, credit goes to PM Modi. India has become a country which decides global policy.  She adds that when PM goes to G-20, he brings black money to center stage & takes brave decisions like demonetization and GST in practice. 

After the introductory speech of Sushma Swaraj PM Modi addresses that Today, international bodies like the World Bank, IMF & Moody's are looking at India in a very positive way says, PM Modi,

When there is news about how you all are influencing the geopolitics of where you live & how you are making policies, we feel proud, PM Modi praises his govt.

 PM Modi asserts that keeping in mind the needs of 21st century; the government is increasing the investment in technology, transportation. More than half the investment in sectors like construction, air transport, mining, computer software, hardware, electrical equipment & many others, till now has happened in the last three years.

 The prime minister recalls the contribution of India for other nations says that during the earthquake in Nepal, flood in Sri Lanka, water problems in the Maldives; India was the first to respond.  He said that when the crisis struck Yemen, we saved our 4,500 people as well as 2000 others. India's humanity even in grave situations like these is a part of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
