Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly contemplating a return to the UK, with the possibility of renting an apartment in Kensington Palace in order to mend ties with the Royal Family, as per OK! Magazine's report, which cites an inside source. While Prince Harry is willing to reconnect with his family, he also remains cautious about feeling confined within the palace's walls.

The couple's goal is to strike a balance in their lives, prioritizing their mental well-being while staying close to, yet independent from, the high-profile Royal circle. They have made an offer to rent an apartment at Kensington Palace and intend to furnish it themselves as a sincere gesture to demonstrate their seriousness about returning, according to the publication. However, LiveMint could not independently verify this report.

Speculations are circulating that Meghan Markle may not be overly enthusiastic about the prospect of living in a small apartment at Kensington Palace. At the same time, Royal expert Tom Bower was quoted in the publication expressing concerns about the potential damage Prince Harry's return could cause to the Royal Family, given the controversies surrounding his departure and subsequent actions.

According to Bower, Meghan would likely be horrified by Harry's suggestion, as she is not close to William and Kate. Returning to England to live in a small, poky flat in Kensington Palace might be the last thing she would want to do.

The motivation behind this move is said to be an attempt to "please" Prince William and demonstrate their commitment to healing their strained relationship with the Duke of Cambridge, which has faced challenges since the Sussexes' departure from royal duties, often referred to as Megxit, as reported by OK! Magazine.
