Clashes broke out between the inmates and jail officials at Kolkata's Dum Dum Central Jail. There were restrictions in the prison due to the threat of Coronavirus, due to which inmates set the fire inside the prison premises. Along with this, fire engines have been dispatched to the scene after seeing the fire in the jail premises.

According to sources, jail inmates had also demanded masks and sanitizers from the jail authorities due to Coronavirus. Apart from this, there were clashes between the prisoners and the jail authorities between 12 o'clock in the afternoon and heard.
