A new project, helmed by cinematographer-director Venu and starring M-Town’s top actors, is being planned by the FEFKA Writers’ Union. We hear that Manju Warrier, Prithviraj, Asif Ali and Anna Ben are being considered as the leads for the film, a thriller which has story, script and dialogues by G R Indugopan.

A source says, “The movie is based on writer G R Indugopan’s story Sankhumukhi, which will probably be the title too. It is an emotional thriller, in the backdrop of gang wars in Thiruvananthapuram.” The team is still working on finalising the cast and is planned as a big-budget project, the source hints.

The movie is expected to go on floors this year itself, depending on the COVID situation. This would be Venu’s fifth directorial, after the Parvathy Thiruvothu-Asif Ali starrer film Rachiyamma which was part of the anthology Aanum Pennum released in March this year.
