The news of the Bridge Collapse in Gujarat left everyone in shock and the death tolls are continuously increasing. A bridge in Gujarat's Morbi has collapsed just a week after renovation, killing at least 134 people. The search operation is going on. It is on for over 100 others, who have fallen into the river. Priyanka Chopra who recently returned to India after three year took to the social media and wrote a heart-wrenching note. She posted a pic, which she captioned, "So heartbreaking...My condolence goes out to everyone affected by the bridge collapse in Gujarat. Praying for a speedy recovery of those injured. My thoughts &prayers are with the families who mourn today.".
Anupam Kher who is very active on different issues and frequently shares his take on these issues. Anupam also expressed his grief and wrote, "Deeply saddened by the tragedy of suspension bridge collapse in Morbi. My Deepest condolences to all the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy and pray for the speedy recovery who are injured."
After the Morbi Bridge collapse, Nine people were detained by the police including four representatives of the Oreva group, which repaired the bridge and made it open to the general public on October 26 four days before it collapsed on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Gujarat, tweeted, "I am deeply saddened by the tragedy at Morbi. Talked to Gujarat Chief Minister Shri @Bhupendrapbjp and other officials about this. Relief and rescue operations are going on in full swing and all necessary assistance is being provided to the affected".
