New Delhi: Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has come to his rescue after the court convicted Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fifth case related to the Chara scam. Priyanka Gandhi has said that it is the speciality of the BJP's politics that whoever does not lay down arms in front of them has to face persecution. ┬а

Priyanka Vadra tweeted, "This is an important aspect of BJP's politics that whoever does not bow down to them is harassed in every way. Lalu Prasad Yadav ji is being attacked because of this politics. I hope they get justice. Lalu Prasad Yadav has been found guilty in the 5th case of fodder scam in the Doranda Treasury case. The CBI special court had given the verdict on February 15 in the biggest illegal withdrawal case related to the fodder scam. In this case, 75 people, including Lalu Yadav, were found guilty by the court. The court sentenced the 36 convicts to three years each. ┬а

The verdict on the quantum of punishment of 39 accused, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, is scheduled to come on February 21. Lalu Yadav has already been found guilty in four out of five cases related to the multi-crore fodder scam. Lalu Yadav is once again in danger of going to jail. If he gets a sentence of more than three years, then he will have to go to jail and if his sentence is three years or less, then he will get bail from there. ┬а
