Lucknow: On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, huge crowds of devotees are thronging the temples of Lucknow since morning. Devotees started queuing outside the temples for visits and worshipping early in the morning. Har Har Mahadev continued to reverberate in the pagodas. Due to this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also offered prayers on the holy festival of Mahashivratri, after having darshan of Mahadev at Sihari Shiva temple in Lucknow.

Priyanka stood in the queue for darshan and then offered prayers. Thereafter, she left for Siddharthnagar for public meetings. Because of this, she also met people. On Tuesday, devotees lined up in the temples of the city since morning and waited for their turn. Temples in the city were decorated on Monday evening on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The attractive makeup of Mahadev was done in the temples.

After the visit, Priyanka Gandhi met the children outside the temple. These days she is campaigning for the Uttar Pradesh elections. From here she left for the public meeting in Siddharthnagar. On Monday, in view of Mahashivratri, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia inspected the pagodas and inspected the arrangements. The Mayor instructed the Municipal Commissioner for proper arrangements. She also gave instructions for cleaning and sanitization of Budheshwar Temple, Koneshwar Temple, Kotwaleshwar Temple and its surroundings.
