Lucknow: The Yogi government in UP has issued an inquiry after several officers and MLAs were named in a bid to take land near the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Opposition parties are now constantly attacking the BJP over this. Congress National General Secretary and UP in-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh have questioned the role of the Yogi government.

Sanjay Singh said, "Adityanathji's officials cannot investigate the land which includes BJP MLA, mayor, commissioner, DIG, DM, ADM, SDM. An inquiry should be conducted by setting up an SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court and the fraudsters should be put in jail. BSP supremo Mayawati has said that it is a serious matter. There should be a high-level inquiry in this regard. It is better for the apex court to intervene in the matter. She said the Centre should direct the state government to take the issue seriously.

Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has said that the land around the Ram temple is being looted and BJP leaders, functionaries, and government officials are involved in the loot. Lord Ram was a symbol of morality and you are also indulging in corruption in his name, attacking the faith of the entire country.
