PM Modi then reached the venue at Karkhiyanv, about 12 km from here. Here, PM Modi has 870. Dedicated 22 development projects costing more than Rs. He also laid the foundation stone of five projects worth Rs 51 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said, "Today, this entire region of Varanasi and surrounding areas has again witnessed a huge program for villages, farmers, cattle herders across the country and across Uttar Pradesh. Some people have made it a sin to talk about cows in our country. A cow can be a crime for some people, for us cow is a mother, it is revered. People who make fun of cows and buffalo forget that the livelihood of 8 crore families of the country is run by such livestock. He said that, 'Today India produces milk worth about Rs 8.50 lakh crore every year. This amount is much more than the cost of wheat and rice produced in India.''
PM Modi said, "Strengthening India's dairy sector is one of the top priorities of our government today. In this episode, the foundation stone of Banas Kashi Complex has been laid here today. We used to say that there was a competition about how many pegs are on whose door. But for a long time, the support that this sector should have got was not available in the previous governments. Our Government is changing this situation all over the country.''
