Lucknow: Congress party national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday held a roadshow in support of party candidate Anugrah Narayan Singh in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Veteran Congress leader Abhay Awasthi has informed that Priyanka Gandhi's chartered plane landed at Bamhrauli airport at 9.15 am and from there Priyanka reached Swaraj Bhawan at around 10 am. Priyanka's roadshow left Swaraj Bhawan for Katra at around 10.30 pm.

During this time, Priyanka Vadra sat on the roof of the SUV and accepted the greetings of the people. Next to Gandhi was sitting Anugrah Narayan Singh, a candidate from the city north. The roadshow went on with a full-fledged band celebration and a large number of party leaders and workers joined in during which people showered flowers on Priyanka Vadra. After the roadshow reached Netram Crossroads, Priyanka sat on another vehicle and left for the airport. 

Awasthi further said that since Vadra was to address the gathering at three other places including Amethi, she could not complete the roadshow. This roadshow was concluded near Laxmi Talkies. Today is the last day of campaigning for the fifth phase of the UP assembly elections.
