Lucknow: Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has once again attacked the Central government having vaccine shortage in the country. She asked via a video on Twitter why India, the world's largest vaccine producer, is facing vaccine shortages today. She wrote in a tweet that 'It is the duty of the government to answer the questions of the people of the country'. It may be recalled that Priyanka Gandhi has been seeking response from the Central government on deaths and vaccination due to the Covid-19 epidemic for the past several days.

In her video on Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi asked the government, "Why did the Government of India place the first order of the vaccine in January 2021? While other countries in the world started placing orders in mid-2020. Why did our government export 60 million vaccines between January and March 2021, compared to only 35 million doses in our country by that time. The Government of India will have to answer the questions of the people of the country. We have to ask them questions and they have to answer".

Earlier on Wednesday too, Priyanka Gandhi had shared a list of questions on social media about the vaccination campaign. He had attacked PM Narendra Modi and wrote that from the beginning of the epidemic, vaccine in India became a means of personal propaganda of PM Modi instead of a tool to save the lives of the common man. She questioned the government as to who is responsible for India joining the ranks of weak countries of the world in terms of vaccination.
