Due to the curfew/lockdown imposed in the state to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by the Punjab government between lockdown and corona infection, the process has been issued to send back the stranded persons in the state to their ancestral state. The spokesman said that this process will begin on 5 May. Within 48 hours of receiving the letter, each DC will take a proforma filled with every person who wants to return to their ancestral state. This proforma is available at www.covidhelp.punjab.gov.in.

All the districts have to get the information on the link given by the people desirous of going to their native state by 9 AM on May 3. On May 3, 2020, at 9 am, we will be able to access the DC database and see the details of their respective districts. He further said that during these two days when the process of collecting data is going on, the deputy commissioner will prepare to set up a health checkup camp to check the health of those wishing to go back to their ancestral state. Each person will be informed through SMS regarding the date of the investigation and the place where the camp is to be screened.

Screening of members/group of the same family will be done in a camp. The screening will be completed by the night of May 4, 2020. Once a person is examined, if no symptoms are found in him, then he will be given a certificate in Form-F by the health team. He said that the traffic related to the return of people will start on May 5. The number and other details of buses or other modes of transport that will go to transport these people will be shared separately with DC.
