Ottawa: For the past several days, thousands of people in Canada have been demonstrating against government restrictions such as the mandatory corona vaccine and the Kovid protocol. Meanwhile, information has been received that many temples have been vandalized here in the last ten days. Even the miscreants have stolen cash, idols of God and jewelery offered to them from the donation boxes. Since these incidents, there is an atmosphere of panic among the priests and devotees of temples located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

These attacks targeting temples began with the sabotage of the Shri Hanuman temple in Brampton, GTA city on 15 January. Since then, the miscreants have created a ruckus. Not only this, but they also damaged the temple of Maa Chintpurni in Brampton on January 25, 2022. Even after this incident, the miscreants did not sit still. They have continued to target one temple after another. It also includes the Gauri Shankar Temple and the Jagannath Temple (both in Brampton). Similarly, he also carried out sabotage incidents at the Hindu Heritage Center and Hamilton Samaj Temple in Mississauga.

The Hindu Heritage Center (HHC) in Mississauga was vandalized on January 30. Here two people infiltrated the centre and ransacked the donation boxes and the main office. In a release issued by the temple, it has been told that devotees and priests are hurt by this incident. According to media reports, these incidents have been carried out between 2 am and 3 am. Pictures of the intruders have also surfaced, in which they are seen carrying winter gear with a backpack and wearing a mask. They stayed inside the temple premises for a long time and are seen searching for other valuables like cash in donation boxes, jewelery from idols of deities. Due to the fear of protesters in Canada, PM Justin Trudeau has been hiding in a secret place for the past several days. The protesters included children, women and some disabled people. These are also opposing the new guidelines in Canada.
